Lord, Let Your Light Shine!

Even a casual Christian glance at the state of our world today can cause despair. I find myself asking, along with King David, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3 (NIV)

You can tell by my title where this is headed. The Psalmist answers his own question soon enough:

For with you is the fountain of life, in your light we see light.

Psalm 36:9 (NIV)

This particular verse brings to mind the story of Christ meeting a Samaritan women at the town well. She thinks he needs a drink, but He offers her the bottomless fountain of eternal life.

Then there’s Zacchaeus, a hated tax collector who has lots of money and possessions but is missing the light of God in his life. Everything changes when Jesus invites Himself over to the despised man’s house.

My point is, God’s light can transform anyone and anything before we can blink. Few people wanted a relationship with the two folks mentioned above, but Jesus did.

Kind reader, is there someone in your life whom you fear is beyond redemption? Perhaps they are not. Please join me in prayer: 🙏 Lord, let Your light shine!❤️

Our Heavenly Father brightens lives, too! Thank you for reading. 🙏❤️ prayers and love.
