The Prudent Give Thought to Their Steps

What’s the one luxury you can’t live without?

The one luxury I can’t live without is GPS. Except, in this case, I’m not referring to guidance in earthly terms, but from a spiritual perspective. The GPS I can’t live without is β€œGod’s Positioning System.”

Note: if you’re not a religious person, please keep reading. I won’t preach, just give my perspective.

The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps.

Proverbs 14:15 (NIV)

There’s a deluge of information, streaming on screens and printed in books and magazines, and for every two people it seems there are three opinions. Plus, worldly advice about what life β€œroute” to take flips faster than the pancakes at a busy breakfast eatery. πŸ₯ž

With so many options, how does a rational person give thought to their steps?

Life filter needed, please.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will direct your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

I’ve looked to God to route and reroute my life for over 40 years and things have gone well. Trusting God’s Positioning System (GPS), has kept me on the path to the ultimate destinationβ€”heaven.

Kind reader, if you’re not on this path, please join me. A good starting point is the New Testament book of John, in the Holy Bible.

Thank you for reading. πŸ™β€οΈprayers and love.

Awesome post, David. The one luxury I can’t live without is knowing eternity is in God’s hands. It grounds me, gives me perspective, and so life’s struggles aren’t so dire.

What a legacy Nancy! Your notebook is proof positive that God indeed directs the steps of those who are right with Him. Thank you for sharing, and also being a regular reader and contributor to my little blog. God Bless!

I too can vouch for God’s amazing GPS system. In a notebook kept since 1983 and now containing over 1500 entries, I’ve recorded God-incidences in my life and in the lives of our immediate family. He has indeed directed our steps!

This verse was featured on the Our Daily Bread devotional this past Tuesday. I picked it up from there and used it as a focal point for this post. Thank you for reading and commenting, Dana. God Bless!

I took one from the Devotional Guy’s play book, and answered a WP daily prompt. Maybe this will bring my blog
some new readers. Blessings, my brother.

Great perspective Dave. Only He can keep me on that road, or reroute me as He sometimes faithfully does. And I Love the book of John. It’s my favorite!

Thank you, brother. I read the WP writing points, from time, but had never used one for a post. Today, I saw a correlation to my faith journey in Christ. It’s wonderful to be on this same path with you! God bless you today, as well. πŸ™πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
