Two young girls of two different races, walking down the hall at school holding hands, that’s what I saw one morning. As I passed them, one told me (with genuine joy), “This is my sister!”
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7 (NIV)
It’s simple, really–God holding hands with humanity (through Christ), helping us walk together with each other. Young children, who come to us fresh from God, understand this. It’s big people who turn it wrong side out.
Thankfully, God loved us first.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:10 (NIV)
Kind reader, on this fourth Sunday of Advent 2025, it’s still the love of God that makes us all kin. Today, and every day, may we walk hand in hand: both with Christ and each other.
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)
Thank you for reading. 🙏❤️ prayers and love.
