A Blurb for a Fellow Blogger

Quick, think of a self-published book you’ve recently read that was stellar.

Yes, I’m counting on one hand, too.😵‍💫

My blogger friend Bridget A. Thomas succeeds here where many others fall short, because she keeps a laser like focus on her subject—growing in gratitude.

Each of the 30 daily readings is brief and to the point. These are followed by questions (from the author) prompting the reader to contemplate a more gratifying life. Finally, at the end of each day, you’re asked to share five things you’re grateful for.

Almost anyone can self-publish a book; many of these are self edited as well. But this means being one’s own “barometer,” and that’s rarely a good idea.

Thankfully, Bridget clearly took the time (and expense) to ask someone (other than a close friend or relative) to critique her manuscript. And that means no wasted words or time for the reader.

This is an excellent read that consistently lives up to its title: “Every Day is a Gift.”

The book is available on Amazon for $9.99 (paperback) and is worth every penny! There’s also a less expensive Kindle (digital) version.

Kind reader, if you don’t do Kindle or can’t spare ten bucks, email me your shipping coordinates and I’ll send you a copy. Your address will only be used to ship the book and that’s it. davidsdailydose@yahoo.com

This is a limited time offer. So, please let me know before 6 am tomorrow—CST (Chicago).😊 Disclaimer: if you live outside the US, shipping may be cost prohibitive.

Thank you for reading. 🙏❤️ prayers and love.

Here’s a closing verse that makes me think of my friend Bridget’s ministry as an encourager.

The Lord has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens me morning by morning, he awakens my ear to hear as the learned.

Isaiah 50:4 (NKJV)

Yes! “You have been redeemed” was really good too. Didn’t know about the third one. Thanks for the heads up. Blessings David.

I’m currently reading Bridget’s other book, “You Have Been Redeemed.” It’s a great reminder of our true identity in Christ! I recently found out she has a newer book on Amazon—that’s three—and I plan to get one.

I’ve been meaning to write this post for awhile, but didn’t get it done. I truly enjoyed your book and plan to read your other one during Lent. I’ve decided there will be no TV or streamed media during that time—for me. 😊

David, thank you so much for the kind words. I am speechless. I am so honored to know that God has used my writing to bring encouragement. And He has done that with your blog posts too. How amazing it is that God has brought so many of us together through our blogs. What a gift! In recent months, life has been stressful. And I have seen how vital it is to hold on to gratitude. No matter what season we are in, gratitude helps us to focus on God’s goodness instead of our problems. We really do have so much to be thankful for. Thank you again, David. And many blessings to you!

I’ve been meaning to do this for awhile. Bridget recently offered a complimentary copy of her books to her followers. I took the deal! This really is a good read, and I’m not one to gush over things.
