It’s a sticker I found in a travel stop restroom, left on an electric hand dryer: “Here for the changes.” I looked it up, this is the slogan of a company who makes baby care products. Come to think of it, the hand dryer was next to a diaper changing station. (Yes, I washed my hands.)
I saved the sticker in my pocket notebook, as a reminder that God is also here for the changes–life changes. However, there are a couple of prerequisites:
Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)
Malcolm, from malcolmsmusings, posted today, expertly weaving Psalm 46 together with the Ben E. Keith classic tune, ‘Stand by Me,’ and a story of a British mother and son team who recently raced around the world in 51 days.
As I commented to Malcolm, I’ve read this scripture verse many times, but just realized that being still and knowing God is a personal choice.
He stands by us when we stand by Him. But this involves being stationary and seeking Him, which is sometimes a chore for a hyper hard-headed human (me) to do.
The end result is that the Lord is spotlighted.
Kind reader, can you identify? Like me, have you faced overwhelm, only to realize that God is underneath, overhead, and completely a part of all His creation? (Psalm 139) We need only be still and know Him!
Thank you for reading. 🙏❤️prayers and love.
