If you’re on the look out for a devotional collection that plants a scriptural seed and provides the water and fertilizer too, this is it!
Here’s a second excellent book, by my blogger friend Bridget Thomas, that contains thirty short chapters, each dedicated to a different facet of the believer’s identity in Christ. A key Bible verse is followed by a brief devotional thought and an appropriate prayer.
Lastly, in my favorite part of the book, Bridget closes with a Your Words Have Power statement. This is a short summary phrase to remind the reader of the biblical truth just discussed. For instance, in chapter 2, the author shares Ephesians 2:10 as a springboard for the affirmation, “I am God’s masterpiece.”
I appreciate the short, stand-alone chapters, with summarizing statements that can be combined together or enjoyed and applied one at a time.
Sister Bridget clearly put some thought and careful preparation into this short read. Reading it convinced me she has tested and tried every single one of her “Words of Power.”
This little book strengthened my faith in God, and I pray it will do the same for you.
