I’m glad I bought a hard copy of Bridget Thomas’ third book, because I read it with a highlighter in one hand and my Bible in the other!
Giving God Your Whole Heart begins with two questions: “Am I giving God my whole heart?,” and “Who do I want to be?”
Bridget answers these, in the chapters that follow, by weaving stories from the Bible in with examples from everyday life.
Living in the light of the scriptures, recognizing the priority of fervent prayer, and dying to ourselves are just a few of the topics discussed. The author writes about these like you’re sitting across the table from her–talking over coffee. In other words, this book is relatable; it’s clear Bridget gleaned these nuggets of wisdom from her own walk with the Lord.
Here are a few “ah ha” statements I highlighted, underlined, and marked with a star😊:
If we don’t seek God, then we will seek other things to replace him.

When you build a wall around your heart, it doesn’t just keep out the negative feelings, it also keeps out the positive ones.

If David had never faced a lion or a bear when he was tending his father’s sheep, would we have ever read about a time when he defeated Goliath?

Giving God Your Whole Heart: The Path to True Fulfillment is available on Amazon for $9.99 (paperback). There is also a less expensive Kindle version. Here’s the link: Bridget’s Third Book.
Kind reader, I ordered two extra copies. Would you like one? Email me at davidsdailydose@yahoo.com and tell me where to send it (Sorry US addresses only–unless your name is Andy B. and you live in the UK). Note: your address will be used to ship the book and that’s it. My treat!
