On June 3, 2025, I discovered a child’s sandal in a parking lot, perfectly aligned with a yellow stripe. Exactly one year later, I found another one, perched perfectly on top of a curb.
The plausible explanation for each is that a child accidently left one shoe behind–it fell out of the car when they got in or out. A passerby then picked it up and put it in a safer place.
The metaphorical implication is more profound: some children today are leaving a valuable part of their childhood behind.
There are drawbacks to this digital age.
If anyone causes on of these little ones–those who believe in me–to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea. Jesus- Mark 9:42 (NIV)
Kind reader, throughout His earthly ministry, Christ placed the highest value on those who were the most vulnerable. It’s safe to say He still feels the same way. Today, and every day, may we point these “little ones” to Him!
Thank for reading. 🙏❤️ Prayers and love.
