Out of Service

The airport in Albany, New York has Shetland Sheep service dogs at the help desk! However, one early morning when we walked up, the two Shelties appeared to be “out of service.”

But as their owner (just outside the photo) said their names, the dogs raised up their heads and briefly greeted us. Then, quick as they popped up, both heads went back down in unison. It turns out the two comfort animals had been at the airport since 3 AM. After spending time at a conference with other service dogs in Maine, they were exhausted.

It’s a good thing God, which is dog spelled the other way around, doesn’t tire out.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. – Isaiah 40:28 (NIV)

As you can see in the photo, there’s a lady at the counter to help people. It’s not like the whole operation went to the dogs. The Shelties had plenty of help, and so do we.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:29-31 (NIV)

Kind reader, when you and I get dog tired, it’s okay to rest and rejuvenate. Jesus said so Himself.

Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.- Mark 6:31 (NIV)

Thank you for reading. 🙏❤️ Prayers and love.
